Vernalis Systems has a rich history of corporate social responsibility that has grown and evolved to meet the complexities of today's business world and the challenges of a global society. Our CEO, Bala Chandra, sought to "invest money and time in people". That legacy continues to guide our company and employees. Social responsibility is a way of life at Vernalis Systems. It means more than just investing in and enriching our communities by encouraging employee volunteerism. Our commitment to being a good corporate citizen also includes:

• Ensuring a safe, healthy workplace.

Our social responsibility efforts have evolved as our business has grown. Starting in 2005, we received contributions from each and every employee to support the victims of the Asian Tsunami. In July 2007, we began our support of the Helping Hearts Home. This institution provides shelter, food and support to over sixty orphaned children and special needs senior citizens. Our employees actively participate in volunteering events at the orphanage as well as provide oversight support to monitor the results of our monthly contributions.

The challenges facing our community are global in scale, and our response is global in nature. In our Asian practice, we recently launched our charitable arm, The Vernalis Foundation. We are working towards developing non-profits in North America and Europe and expect them to be fully operational in early 2011. This foundation, along with the company, has recently partnered with RangeDe to support their stated mission of "Let us knock out poverty in India". Our North American and European offices have taken the lead in "connecting people, through lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty" by joining and actively raising money for Kiva.

Our commitment to social responsibility is as strong today as it was when our company was founded. We are proud of our progress, but there is still much we can do. Please join us in our efforts.
