Black Book is a suite of applications running on Blackberry. Currently this includes Corporate Phone Directory and Follow-up.
Corporate Phone Directory is a local corporate phone book that synchronizes with the server version of corporate phone directory. From Corporate Phone Directory the Blackberry users can initiate phone calls, send SMS, and send MMS etc. This helps not having to store the contact information of other contacts from the user's organization in Blackberry's local address book. Any updates to the server directory would be pushed on to the Blackberry automatically.
Follow-up makes the best assistant to any Blackberry user who is on the go. For users who are spending a good amount of time on phone, Follow-up will be very useful as it prompts the user and assists them in setting up the follow-up action at end the phone call. When the user finishes a call Follow-up asks if the user wants to set up a follow-up meeting or create a to-do item or create a calendar entry in conjunction with the phone call. When the user creates an entry, Follow-up alerts the Blackberry user on the schedule date. |
